FEB 19 | WriterCoach Connection

WCC brings teams of trained volunteers into English classes in Berkeley, Oakland, and Albany middle and high schools to help students with classroom writing assignments. Working one-on-one with students for about two hours every other week, coaches engage, encourage and challenge students to write clearly and think deeply.
As WCC writing coaches, Cal students gain experience working with a wide variety of students. Middle and high school students love their college coaches who quickly become role models and mentors. Rotaractors, this is an opportunity to inspire young kids all over the Bay Area.
And not only is this a interesting and a very rewarding experience, WriterCoach Connection also hosts events to help writer coaches from Cal to get to know each other. Last semester they hosted a short, stress-reliever party before finals where they ate pizza and handed out finals packs, which contained almost everything you would need for your finals.
