Polio Plus

Hi all!

The next PolioPlus committee meeting is
THIS THURSDAY, MARCH 19, from 7-8 PM in 251 DWINELLE.

We will be explaining each task to be completed and confirming sign-ups for the upcoming Purple Pinkie Week and the ongoing texting initiative. Also, we will be going over how to make classroom announcements and the art of classroom chalking–please come!

ALSO, PLEASE READ the minutes (under Files) from the last meeting to better understand our plans and what needs to be done and SIGN-UP for the tasks you are most interested in through the Google doc linked below:

PURPLE PINKIE WEEK IS APRIL 6 – 10, THE WEEK AFTER THE FIRST WEEK BACK FROM SPRING BREAK.

This means that we have ONLY ONE SCHOOL WEEK left to prepare–PLEASE come to this meeting if you wish to be involved! PolioPlus’s $200 Million Challenge is a huge undertaking, and we cannot accomplish anything alone!

Less than ten Rotaract members came to the last meeting–I expect to see more of you at this meeting (251 Dwinelle holds 30 people–imagine what we could accomplish with a room full of that many people!), given how many of you are interested.

If you cannot make it, please e-mail us at polioplus@calrotaract.org and let us know, and try to spread the word about PolioPlus both by word of mouth and the following chalking message:

“END POLIO NOW!
Text “polio” to 90999
to make a one-time $5
donation to Rotary Int’l
& Bill and Melinda Gates
Foundation’s PolioPlus
Challenge!
60 CENTS SAVES A LIFE!

Don’t forget about PolioPlus or the meeting, and please don’t hesitate to e-mail polioplus@calrotaract.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Richard and I hope to see you all Thursday, and PLEASE JOIN THE FACEBOOK/GOOGLE GROUP!
