Hello Rotaractors!
Thank you everyone who came out to our Committee Spotlight 5th General Meeting, and helped make stuffed animals for children in Haiti!

I. Joining the Club/Club Fees
Our membership fees are:
– $22 for a year (T-shirt included!)
– $14 for a semester (T-shirt NOT included)
Even if you have already paid for this semester, we ask that members please fill out a new membership application (attached!) which will also be available at our table on Sproul Plaza. Please turn it in to us either at our general meetings or at our table (Mon-Thurs, 10AM – 2PM) with your dues.
Remember, you must be a PAID member to participate in Family Tournaments and Rotaract Socials! Thanks!
II. Upcoming Events
International Committee Crane Folding Event
Thurs. March 31st | 7:00 – 8:00PM | 80 Barrows
Come out to learn how to fold cranes, and help raise money for rebuilding Japan! Students Rebuild, an initiative of the Bezos Family Foundation, is donating $2 for every paper crane we mail in! Their goal is 100,000 cranes and $200,000 toward Architecture for Humanity’s support of Japanese rebuilding efforts.

Dance Marathon!
Fri. April 1st | 8:00PM – 8:00AM | Pauley Ballroom (MLK Student Union)
For those of you who have registered, don’t forget to come out to Dance Marathon! Get ready for 12 hours of dancing, entertainment, food, and prizes! It’s going to be a blast! Your registration fee includes free snacks, but raising $15 will get you free meals throughout the night, including Yogurtland, quesadillas, Cheeseboard, and more! And once you raise $50 you will receive raffle tickets for over 30 amazing prizes/prize packages! DOORS CLOSE AT 11PM, and there is NO RE-ENTRY!

Come out to learn more about Relay for Life, and help plan our Talent Show and Flash Mob! We will be teaching the choreography for a FLASH MOB on Sproul to raise awareness for Relay for Life/Cancer, and will also be making friendship bracelets to raise money for our Relay team!

“Clash of the Talents” Talent Showcase Auditions

Dinner with an Entrepreneur

Do you guys have what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Do you know what it means to be your own boss? Or have you ever thought of starting your own business from the ground up? Come speak to one of Berkeley Rotary’s Past Presidents Mr. John Ferguson to learn about taking control of your own career regardless of major. Oh, he’s also a National Award Winning Designer so you don’t want to miss out on learning from him over a delicious dinner! Dinners may be subsidized $3 per person up to the first 20 people so confirm fast!

Secure Your Dreams Financially and Mentally

Come out to this inspiring event featuring speakers from DeYoe Wealth Management who will teach you all about managing your finances, how to save for and grasp your dreams! You will learn how to prepare for the rest of your lives as well how your important your behavioral choices are!

III. Wristbands for Japan!
All this week and next, we are selling Red Japan Relief Effort wristbands for a $2-3 donation! All proceeds will go toward the Rotary Japan and Pacific Island Disaster Relief Fund. Stop by our table on Sproul to buy one for yourself and your family and friends! We table Mon-Thurs, from 10AM – 2PM!

IV. Register for Relay for Life!
Sign up for Cal Rotaract’s Relay for Life team and join us in the fight against cancer! Relay for Life is a 24-hour event that fundraises money for cancer research, treatment, and advocacy. It will be on Saturday, April 30 @ 10 am – Sunday, May 1 @ 10 am at Memorial Glade!

III. Register for Dance Marathon!
Dance Marathon (DM) is is an annual campus-wide event that brings students and the community together for a fun-filled night in the fight against Pediatric AIDS. The overnight event includes 12 consecutive hours of dancing, live entertainment, educational activities and speakers, themed activities, free food and exciting contests and prizes! It’s gonna be a blast! The deadline to register is THIS FRIDAY, so don’t delay!

Your $15 Registration fee is all it takes to treat a pregnant mother and prevent transmission of HIV to her child, so just by registering you are saving a child’s life! The deadline to register is THIS FRIDAY! Also, start sending out emails asking for donations from family/friends because if you raise $50, you’ll receive raffle tickets for some awesome raffle prizes such as a Nintendo Wii, Southwest plane tickets, entertainment packages, and MORE!
**When you register, you have the option to either register as a regular Dancer, or a DM VIP. The difference is that DM VIP’s pledge to raise at least $50 and stay the whole night. If you think you can do that, register as VIP so you can get exclusive benefits at the event!**
