Hey everyone, Local Committee’s holding its first event of the semester on Friday March 4th, and we’re starting off with an awesome scavenger hunt!
This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Berkeley YMCA. *$2 suggested donation*
We want you all to come out in teams of 5-6 people and use your creativity to take pictures and videos of crazy/cool stuff you’ll have to do around campus (some of which, I warn you, will definitely be em…barrassing. but hilarious.).
** For example, you might dance with a stranger, create a human pyramid, or squeeze your entire team into one bathroom stall, all for the ultimate glory of Scavenging Champion! **
Oh, yeah. The theme is HARRY POTTER!! Bring out your wizarding gear for all sorts of tomfoolery!
Also, your team will be competing for a set of GIFT CARDS to some great food spot near campus – I promise you won’t want to miss out!
More details about rules, time limits, etc. will be presented before the event begins on Friday (and on your team lists). Get ready for some serious Local action!

Rotaract-Interact Outreach Stay-over Program

Come out to share your experiences with other prospective and admitted students, of the #1 Public University in the World! We will go through Tours, Q&A Panels, Activity time, and more! This is a great opportunity for those of you who LOVE Berkeley and would love to share your experience! Interactors (High school version of Rotaract) will be staying over and will hope to learn more about Berkeley in the duration of time that they’re here!

Event Information: Prospective high school students will be coming to this highly anticipated event to hear about UC Berkeley from a student’s perspective. Students will be getting tours from UC Berkeley Rotaract members in diverse majors. They will then go through a Q&A panel with Rotaract officers ranging from 1st – 4th/5th year, and in different colleges (ex. Colleges of Letters and Science, College of Chemistry, College of Engineer, etc.) We will then participate in a hands-on build International Service Project called WAPI (Water Pasteurizer Indicators) for countries in Panama, Dominican Republic, etc. The prospective students will be assigned to specific Rotaract officers and Level 3+ members for housing, both parties will be required to sign waiver (High school students) and liability forms (Cal Students). This event has been successful for the past 4 years since it was first started. We are proud to claim a 85% yield rate through the program, which is higher than the 50% yield rate the UC Berkeley currently holds.

1)Register on http://berkeleyproject.org/register.php. We are sending 2
Rotaract Teams. *Cal Rotaract 1* includes the Axels, the Freds,and the
Gustaves. *Cal Rotaract 2* includes the Hirams, the Pauls, and the
Silvesters.
2)When you fill out the google form, there will be a place on the
application for you to type in your group’s name, please put *Cal
Rotaract 1* or *Cal Rotaract 2* depending on your family.
I highly recommend that you guys come out to this event, we would love to
