Postponed! | B.O.S.S. Project | 9AM-1PM | Berkeley
Due to the inclement weather, we wanted to take into consideration the safety and well-being of our members, so we have decided to postpone this event. Be on the lookout for the new date!
Join Local Committee and Service for a wonderful day of service working at B.O.S.S. As some of you may remember this is where we built the playground last year. Mostly, we will be prepping for a substantial renovation of the community, meaning we will be moving offices and pantry. Think Extreme Makeover: Community Edition! Prepared to get down and dirty! Come dressed in ‘dirty-wear’ and shoes built to protect (not open-toe).
We will be meeting at Bancroft and Telegraph at 9:00am and all taking the bus together.

Feb 28 | Third General Meeting – Go Green! | 7-8PM | 170 Barrows
THIRD TIMES A CHARM. Come out to Cal Rotaract’s third General Meeting as we spotlight environmental issues and go over new and upcoming service & social events! Local Committee will be talking about their beach clean-up event as well as other upcoming events. International will be highlighting water-awareness along with a brief talk about WAPI’s and what you can do to conserve water.
**Also for your edible enjoyment, there will be worms in a cup aka gummy worms and chocolate pudding!

Mar 17 | Easter Egg Hunt Prop Building! | 2-7PM | Senate Lounge (2nd Floor Eshleman)
Springtime is approaching and Local Committee is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 7!! It will be a “health and fitness” themed carnival/egg hunt where Cal Rotaract will be hosting a booth for the little elementary schoolers (those adorable little munchkins!). It will be a lot of fun! Wouldn’t you like to get involved? To help prepare for this event, Local Committee is asking for volunteers for PROP MAKING! The following are prop building dates:

Feb 26 | Big C Fellowship Hike | 11AM-1PM | The Big C
What’s up Rotaractors?!
Ever wanted to go hiking but you aren’t sure when? How about just a day of hanging out with your favorite Rotaractors? Well, look no further!
Come out and join Rotaract in exploring (or re-exploring) one of Berkeley’s oldest traditions of hiking the Big C, where you can look down at the gorgeous city and campus once you’re up there! Invite all of your family members as you bond and have an amazing time!
We will be meeting in front of Wurster Hall at 11am and will walk to and hike up the Big C and back. Drinks (in the form of juice!) will be provided and of course, points for going to this hiking social!
See everyone there this Sunday!
*In the case of rain this Sunday, we will instead have a board game/lunch day. Check back for more info.

Feb 25 | Berkeley Path Wanderers | 9:30AM-1PM | Berkeley
Berkeley Path Wanderers Association (BPWA) is a grassroots volunteer group of community members who have come together to increase public awareness of the City of Berkeley’s pathways. BPWA hopes to accomplish this goal through volunteer-led path walks, identification and accurate mapping of Berkeley’s complete path network, and eventual restoration of paths that have been blocked or obscured. We hope the final outcome of the community effort will be the preservation and on-going maintenance of all the paths, lanes and steps throughout Berkeley. Come join Cal Rotaract as we help to restore a path in Berkeley!
We will meet at Bancroft and Telegraph at 9AM and taking the bus together.

Feb 19 | Family Basketball Tournament! | 12-4PM | 237 Hearst Gym
Come one come all to our first family tournament of the semester!
Bring your fancy kicks and Jeremy Lin swag to the court for a family on family match-up. Winning families will receive points to go to the Family of the Semester award!
Wear your family colors to make sure you look like a team and can totally dominate your opponents 
Make sure to wear appropriate shoes! Sweatbands, sleeves, or goggles are optional.

Welcome to our first Committee Meeting!
We would just like to get to all of you in our first meeting and learn about what service projects that you would want to lead / see happen. Our goal for the semester is to create a strong bond with you all and work as a team to make this year successful.
Also, to get things going, we will be helping with a couple things for Date Auction at this meeting as well.
