With midterm season already in full swing, good thing there is something to look forward to every other Tuesday from 7-8 pm where I can take a break and hang out with my friends who are interested in bettering the community!
Join us for a one-of-kind GM that educates y’all on the basics of breast and ovarian health, all while providing concrete strategies for living a proactive and happy lifestyle! If y’all are men this is pertinent to you as well, so join us for learning about breast cancer awareness month and how you can get involved in helping combat breast and ovarian cancer!
Cal Rotaract’s Third General Meeting will be held on October 6th from 7-8 pm and we can’t wait to see you all again! The attendance at last general meeting and our past events have been mind-boggling and we look forward seeing all of your faces and taking a break from academics for an hour!
During this GM we will be reflecting on a very important subject matter. We will be engaging our student population and community members in a discussion about issues of poverty and homelessness, and in turn, empower people to alter the circumstances that allow for poverty to persist. This GM we plan to discuss our vision for homelessness and poverty this semester, as well as address poverty and the many issues that are associated with it (homelessness, healthcare, health inequities, etc).
Fellowship will have food planned for this meeting as always
Don’t forget to fill out our application and pay dues either at our meetings, or at our table on Sproul!
Rotaract has a lot to offer, and it is much more than just a club. We provide service and help to those in need in the surrounding communities as well as those in need overseas. Furthermore, our fellowship is strong with multiple families throughout the semester as well as many socials that will definitely introduce you to some of your best friends on campus. We also reach out to the district’s Interact clubs (the high school level of Rotaract) as well as try to develop our members professionally through a mentorship program where you will be matched up with Rotarians who all excel in their respective fields of work.
We will also be accepting membership dues from those of you who are interested in becoming paid members. Dues are $25/year or $15/semester.
If you have any questions leading up to or after this night, we table every week from Monday – Thursday, 10 am – 2 pm and always have officers, membership forms, and more information on hand!
Join our ever-growing Rotaract family, because we’d love to have you with us! Hope to see you all at the Third General Meeting!
