It’s summer! It’s summer! Join Berkeley Rotary and volunteer at the kite festival! Greet guests and manage the waterfront parking lots! This is an interesting project aimed at both fundraising and service!

The Kite Festival is a major community event that brings out over 50,000 community guests and participants. Please check back for more information

II. Ongoing Events (JAMBA JUICE FUNDRAISER/BOOK DRIVE/BOX FOR TOPS)

Jamba Juice Fundraiser! Wed April 21-Sun April 25
Relay for Life is holding a Jamba Juice fundraiser! Jamba Juice will donate 20% of your purchase to our team (unfortunately, no other coupons can be combined with this)! You can come at any time and as many times! We will have the flyer uploaded to the website and we have passed out flyers. You can also mention it at the register if you forgot a flyer!

Box Top for Education Drive, Mar 4-April 30
We have envelopes in Unit 3 as well as a box at our table where people can drop off their box tops. All box tops will go to a local elementary school!

Book Drive, Ongoing until April 23
Bring books from home and donate to our book drive! These books will be going to our sister schools in Namibia and Turkey!

From there you can join our team as a member or a survivor, or you can donate directly to our team.
Being part of our team does not require you to run or walk a certain length (in fact you are not required to be at the event or for the whole time but you would miss out on a lot of fun!). If you join the Cal Rotaract team, you will get the chance to sign up for a one-hour shift to walk around the track via email.

If you plan on coming as a survivor, you have two options. You can sign up under Cal Rotaract team as a “Team Member” and pay the registration fee. You can also sign up as “Survivor Not on a Team” for free. Either option is fine. Survivors kick off the event with their Survivors’ Lap on Saturday, May 1 at 10 am.
