Internships

Internship Opportunities
Interested in further enriching your Rotaract experience by working more closely with the officer board? The internship program is the perfect way to get involved and take on a leadership position to introduce you to what it’s like to be a Rotaract officer. This is the perfect opportunity to shadow an officer position of your interest, take on your own events, and learn the inner workings of this large organization. As an intern you will not only work in conjunction with the officer who is leading the program, but the board as a whole by attending officer meetings (in accordance with your schedule and availability; thus, this is not required for all who cannot make it), tabling with us on Sproul every week, and collaborating with people to lead projects specifically relevant to your position.
This semester we are offering the following intern positions: Interact liaison, photography/recollection team, and treasurer intern. Feel free to apply to any or all that peak your interest by Friday, February 15, 2013 at 11:59 pm – no exceptions. Applications will be reviewed the following weekend and you will be notified with a response on Saturday, February 16.
THE DEADLINE TO APPLY IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 15.
Interact Liaison
As part of the liaison team, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between Interact, Rotaract, and Rotary into a tighter knit family. You will be specifically working with the Berkeley Y Interact Club. Their club is unique in the sense that it is a community-based club rather than a high school-based club. Your skills will be put to the test as you advise the Interact officers on how to grow their club despite their unique situation. Berkeley Y Interact has few numbers, but they are hoping to expand it with your help. As a leader in your old high school, you will pass on the skills you have onto them.

Photography/Recollection Team
We are looking for creative and dedicated individuals with a desire to develop their photography, videography, and editing skills by documenting the club’s accomplishments and history. The Recollection team will be responsible for various projects throughout the semester. In the past, these projects have included themed photobooths during general meetings, video projects, and other undertakings. You will be expected to help conceptualize these projects, as well as take part in the execution of the events. Although these projects will have a variable time commitment, you will be expected to make a significant impact on the project and work with the rest of the team in order to create a great final product.

Finance Committee Intern
As a Finance Committee intern, you will have the opportunity to help manage the budget, learn how ASUC and Cal Corp funding works, and create and facilitate your very own fundraiser for Cal Rotaract. We are looking for someone who is interested in business and/or finance and has a creative mind for fundraising ideas. You will be mainly working with our Treasurer, Tim Wang, but you are welcome to join in on a Rotaract officer meeting to see the inner workings of the club!
