Oct 13 | Empty Bowls | 6-8:30PM | Pauley Ballroom, MLK Student Union
Please fill those “empty bowls” by coming out and supporting Local Committee and Cal Rotaract in feeding the hungry! 100% of proceeds go directly to the Alameda County Community Food Bank, which feeds an astounding 21,000 children every week! Sponsored by Berkeley Rotary and the ASUC Art Studio, this event features performances by Universal Love and Peace, EGO: Korean Percussion, and more!
Each guest will be given a bowl of warm, savory soup and bread (with butter…yes, delicious, savory butter!) There will be beautiful handcrafted bowls for sale; these bowls, the focus of our event, symbolize those who literally have empty bowls, those with inadequate food, who go hungry on a daily basis. This event is dedicated to both raising awareness and directly helping their cause.
Tickets are on sale NOW:
$7 for student ($3 discounted)
$10 for general admission
$13 at the door ($10 for students)
Please come by the Cal Rotaract table on Sproul Monday through Thursday, or contact Tuhina (tuhina22.d@gmail.com), Marina (theberkeleymarina@gmail.com), or any local committee member for tickets! The ASUC Art Studio will also be selling tickets!
