Austin Ashcraft, Co-President
YEAR: 3rd, Undergraduate MAJOR: Philosophy SERVICE PASSIONS: Any project that promotes fairness and equality by working to counteract the lottery of birth. HOBBIES: (no particular order) Video games, soccer, service, philosophy, politics (have to be in the mood for it), reading, writing, thinking, talking, playing games/sports, laughing, reddit, hiking, driving, geocaching, music (listening), sleeping, exploring, and finally, quality anime, good movies, and interesting T.V. that can be watched online. CONTACT: [email protected] or [email protected] ABOUT ME: HI! My name is Austin and I am going to be serving as your president (with Jimmy) for 2010! Looking back on my term as president in 2009, I think that we had some great ideas, but there are tons of areas where we can improve! Seeing the growth of Rotaract since I joined (going from swamp cleaners to building prosthetic hands) has been a truly wonderful experience for me and I feel like Rotaract finally has an identity of its own (the four pillars: service, fellowship, professional development, committees) that distinguishes us from other service clubs on campus. Outside of Rotaract, I am an intern in the Student Legal Clinic, I play intramural soccer, I work as an security monitor in the units, and I write tons and tons of philosophy papers. Did I mention I probably have too many hobbies? (see above)
