Why Rotaract?

From the moment I attended my first meeting, I have felt an integral part of the Cal Rotaract community. This organization stands out for its inclusive atmosphere, where everyone unites in the spirit of service and fellowship. I cherish how we collaboratively strive for community service, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie along the way.

About me:

Hi everyone! My name is Talia Nguyen, and I’m from Irvine, California. I’m a third year planning on majoring in MCB and Statistics and minoring in Global Public Health. When I’m not doing Rotaract shenanigans, I enjoy listening to music, hiking and traveling, and eating and trying different foods. If you’re down for Korean BBQ or hotpot, let me know 🙂

Why Rotaract?

I found out about Rotaract during Cal Day, and from my first interactions with members of Rotaract, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this supportive community that is so passionate about volunteering!

Hobbies:
Cooking/baking, going to concerts, listening to music, photography, graphic design, traveling & spontaneous trips, watching kdramas/cdramas, getting boba

About me:

Hi everyone! My name is Pearl, and I’m from the Bay Area. I’m a junior majoring in Psychology and MCB. In my free time, you’ll find me cooking, baking, going on a spontaneous trip, getting boba, listening to music, or watching kdramas/cdramas! I’m always down to meet new people so if you ever want to talk about food or music, feel free to reach out!

Why Rotaract?

I joined Rotaract with a strong passion for community service and leadership, stemming from my involvement in Interact during high school and passion for giving back to the community. I decided to stay because of the extremely welcoming community and all the friends I’ve made here. Some of my most memorable experiences at Cal have actually been with people I met through Rotaract!

Listening to music, baking, and watching kdramas

About me:

Hello! My name is Selina, and I am part of Human Relations this year! I’m from Sacramento, CA and am a third-year majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology on the pre-med track. In my free time, I enjoy taking naps, baking, trying new food, and watching kdramas. For a fun fact, I have a an ongoing spreadsheet of all kdramas I’ve watched over the years, containing its basic info and my ratings for each one (currently watching my 120th drama hehe). So if you want to have a chat about boba, food, kdramas, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to approach me during meetings or events! 🙂

Why Rotaract?

While I was part of Interact in high school, I attended Stayover! To me, everyone in the community was welcoming and fun, so I wanted to join Rotaract once I got to Berkeley. In the past, I have always enjoyed being part of volunteering clubs, and Rotaract is a group of kind individuals passionate about service. Here, I hope I can contribute to Rotaract’s goal of making a difference in communities.

Why Rotaract?

I was very anxious to join at first, but I was welcomed with open arms that made me feel very comfortable! I have always volunteered during high school, so I loved the idea of being able to do it at Berkeley. Contributing to something amazing makes me feel proud and I hope others can follow.

Contact Email:
[email protected]
Hobbies:
Rock climbing, piano, cooking

About me:

Hi! I’m Clarissa and I’m from the Bay Area. As of right now, I spend most of my free time climbing, projecting a V8, but I also like to play music with my friends and cook. Outside of that and school, I often volunteer at Highland Hospital and at my hometown’s library.

Why Rotaract?

The thing that attracted me to Rotaract was the community and the welcoming environment. My first semester here at Berkeley felt daunting and Rotaract was a great way to meet new people and give back to the community!
